According to Module One - Page 6 of the ABST Participant Manual, any individual wishing to apply for a security licence in Alberta must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
This means that if you're under 18, you may begin the ABST course, however, you would need to wait until you turn 18 to take the provincial exam and apply for your license. With our Ministry Accredited ABST Course, you get one provincial exam attempt included at no additional cost!
According to Section 9.6 of the Security Programs Policy Manual, exams can be written as many times as necessary for up to two years from when you started the course. This means as long as you write your provincial exam within 2 years after enrolling in our course, you would not have to re-do the ABST course.
